A In most cases we can tailor collections to suit your needs ranging from daily, weekly, Monthly etc from Monday to Sunday. Please contact us if you require further information.
   
   
Q Does Metrowaste offer any other alternative to a wheelie bin?
   
A Yes, Metrowaste also supply rubbish bags which can be used in the Rodney District area. These bags can be purchased through most major supermarkets. We also supply approved rubbish bags for Collection in the Auckland CBD. Q How much does it cost to hire a bin?
   
A Price depends on the bin size and length of use. Please contact us and we can give you a quote to suit your specific needs.
   
   
Q How and when can I pay?
   
A We accept all major credit cards (excluding American Express) We also accept direct credits, Direct debits, eft pos and cash payments. Advance payment is required for some of our services.
   
   
Q Does Metrowaste provide skip/Gantry Bins?
   
A Yes, the following sizes are available 3m2 Skip bins Built to take clean general refuse, garden waste and hard fill such as bricks, tiles, sand, concrete and soil. 9m2 Skip?Gantry Bins These bins are popular for clean-ups around the house and are used on building sites etc.
   
   
Q What is not allowed to be placed in a Skip/Gantry Bin?
   
A Metrowaste will not accept any form of hazardous waste, Asbestos, polystyrene, tyres, paint etc While concrete, soil, clay, rocks etc are allowed in the 3M hardfill bins they are NOT allowed in the 9M bin due to the weight.
   
   
Q Where can I take my hazardous waste?
   
A Rodney Transfer Station or any other designated Hazardous waste depot.
   
   
Q How high can I fill my Skip/Gantry Bin?
   
A Skip/Gantry Bins are not to be filled past the designated line. For Health and Safety purposes the Drivers have been instructed not to collect overfull bins. If your bin has been filled past this line you may be asked to reduce the level to the “Full” line before your bin can be removed.
   
   
Q How much weight can I put in the Skip/Gantry Bin ?
   
A For every cubic metre of bin space you are allowed up to 150kg of waste. If your bin is overweight you will be charged additional tipping fees.
   
   
Q How long can I keep my Skip Bin and what if I require it for a longer period of time?
   
A Skip bins can be kept for 4 days and if your bin is required for a longer period it will be charged out at $15 extra per day.
   
   
Q How much notice do I need to give when ordering a Skip/Gantry bin?
   
A We require a minimum of 24 hours notice and your order will be subject to availability. Weekends are the most popular time for orders so please book your bin well ahead to ensure that you are not disappointed
